    About CCC

Yew Tee Citizens' Consultative Committee (CCC) was formed in 1997 as the apex grassroots organisation in the Yew Tee constituency.

The Yew Tee CCC headed by Chairman Mr. Low Peng Kit, BBM comprises members from various educational level, professions and age groups. The Chairmen of the nine Residents' Committees (RCs) and four Neighbourhood Committees (NC) are included as members of the CCC to provide feedbacks from their residents.

The role of the Yew Tee CCC is to plan, lead and coordinate various community activities at the constituency and national level with the support of the various grassroots organisations. It also provides guidance and financial support to community projects of the Yew Tee constituency and Hong Kah Group Representative Constituencies (GRCs). The Committee also helps to channel the needs and problems of the residents to the government and keep residents informed of the government's actions and policies.

The Yew Tee CCC raises fund regularly to fund its community projects and to provide welfare aid to the needy as well as bursaries and scholarships for deserving students. The CCC has given out several such financial aids for needy families residing in Yew Tee constituency.

Under 'Yew Tee 21' the CCC plans and coordinate annual projects and events to reach out and bond the residents. These projects include sports, cultural and educational activities.

Yew Tee CCC formed the Inter-Racial Confidence Circle (IRCC) in July 2002. With the information of IRCC, more multi-racial programmes and activities will be organised for the residents to promote a more cohesive and harmonious community.
