Grassroots Organisation

To support the PA’s mission, the PA Grassroots Organisations (GROs) undertake the following roles:

1. Promote neighbourliness and community bonding;
2. Connect with the people in strengthening racial harmony and social cohesion, and inculcate a sense of belonging among Singaporeans;
3. Be the bridge between the Government and the people; providing feedback on conditions and opinions, and helping to explain and implement government policies and campaigns;
4. Help address local issues and render social assistance to needy Singaporeans;
5. Know and help meet the needs of the residents; 
6. Strengthen the social fabric by bridging social divides (notably the racial, income, educational and age divides); and
7. Encourage active citizenry, volunteerism and instil a sense of social responsibility among Singaporeans.
